Rajasthan / High Court ordered the police; Minister Mahesh Joshi's son is accused

The Rajasthan High Court has ordered to provide police security to the victim, who accused Rohit Joshi of rape, the son of Minister Mahesh Joshi. A petition was filed in the Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court on behalf of the victim, who was troubled by the threats. Hearing the petition on Monday, Justice Virendra Kumar ordered the state government and the police commissioner to provide security to the victim.


Now 2 Personal Security Officers (PSOs) will be made available to the girl. These include 1 female and 1 male policeman. The cost of this security will be borne by the state government and the police department.


Fear of loss of life and property

Victim's lawyer Naseeruddin Khan told that it has been said in the petition that the Rajasthan Police did not register the victim's case due to political pressure.


So he was compelled to go to Delhi and register an FIR. The father of the accused is a cabinet minister in the Rajasthan government. Due to his political influence and threats being received by the victim, there is a possibility of loss of life and property to him and his family. After the hearing on Monday, the court ordered to provide security in the case.


Security till Rohit Joshi's arrest and chargesheet filed

The victim's lawyer told that the security officer of Rajasthan Police will be deployed for 24 hours for the security of the victim. Until the accused Rohit Joshi is arrested and the charge sheet is not filed. Till then, the demand for protection to the victim was made from the court.


This petition was filed on May 17, which was listed in the court on Monday. The Public Prosecutor was present on behalf of the Government of Rajasthan during the hearing. Who did not object to the demand for police protection.
