Know who is Moinuddin

Moinuddin cultivates flowers in his ancestral village Dafedar Purwa of Deva block of Barabanki district. After passing LLB from Lucknow, when Moinuddin did not feel like practicing law, he went to his village and started farming here. After not getting any special advantage in traditional farming, he started floriculture. He first started cultivating exotic gladiolus flowers in a bigha farm. The good profits from this also attracted the attention of other farmers towards this farming. Taking advice and guidance from Moinuddin, some farmers of the village also tried their hand in this farming and good income encouraged them. Soon the whole village started cultivating gladiolus, due to which this village is also known as floriculture village. In 2002, Moinuddin first cultivated gladiolus flowers in the village, which yielded double profits. After this, in 2009, UP's first poly house was established and started cultivating the exotic flower Gerbera flowers in it. Today they are getting very good profits in this farming.

Farmer Moinuddin said this

Farmer Moinuddin himself told that after the cultivation of gladiolus flowers, he made up his mind to do something big in the field of floriculture. For this, he took the government subsidy from the Horticulture Department under the Horticulture Mission and set up the first poly house in UP for the cultivation of the exotic flower Gerbera of Holland. At present, he has got a total of three poly houses installed in 4000 square meters with government grant. Moinuddin told that his annual turnover from the cultivation of Gerbera flowers in these poly houses is around 70 to 75 lakhs. The cost of setting up this poly house on one thousand square meters of land comes to about Rs 15 lakh, in which 35 to 50 percent of the amount is returned by the state government as subsidy. Today Moinuddin has not only spread its fragrance all around the village by growing colorful exotic flowers in his fields but along with that fragrance has also given employment to thousands of people till now.

Moinuddin has also been honored by the central and state government for being a progressive farmer. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he honored Moinuddin with the Vibrant Gujarat Award. After this, in 2018 he was summoned to Delhi. Apart from this, he has also received many awards. Many times among the villagers, Moinuddin was also made the village head of Dafedar Purva. Moinuddin told that earlier he used to take his flowers to Mandi in Lucknow and send them to Delhi from there, but now on his request, Indian Railways has made a special 10 minute stoppage of the train at Fatehpur railway station, so that they can be accompanied by the villagers.
