iPhone 18 Pro Max Leak: Dynamic Island Removal and Under-Display Face ID

Apple's upcoming flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have become the center of discussion even before their official launch. According to new leak reports, the company may introduce several major changes this time, ranging from design to camera and battery. The most talked-about features include the under-display Face ID and a new camera system. On top of that, users might see the A20 Pro chipset and a larger battery. It's believed that this could be one of Apple's biggest upgrades in recent years.

Removal of Dynamic Island and New Display Design

According to reports, Apple may provide the Face ID sensor under the screen for the first time in the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro. If this happens, the existing Dynamic Island design could be removed. The company is testing a small punch-hole selfie camera, which could be seen on the top left of the display. This will provide a cleaner full-screen experience during video watching, gaming, and browsing. Although the overall design of the phone may remain similar to the iPhone 17 Pro series, the change in the front design could give it a completely new look.

Pro-Level Features in the Camera System

Apple may also make significant changes to the camera system this time. According to leak reports, the company might introduce a mechanical iris system in at least one rear camera, while with its help, the camera will be able to control light better, making low-light photography and portrait shots look more natural. Apart from this, Samsung's new three-layer stacked image sensor could also be used. This will reduce noise in photos and provide better dynamic range. Larger apertures are also expected in the main and telephoto cameras, which could further enhance the video recording and photography experience.

A20 Pro Chip and Powerful Battery Preparation

According to leak reports, the new Pro series may feature Apple's next A20 Pro chipset, based on TSMC's 2nm process. It's said that the RAM will be placed closer to the CPU and GPU, improving speed and power efficiency. According to reports, the new chip could offer about 15 percent more performance and 30 percent better power efficiency compared to the previous model. Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to feature a large battery of up to 5100mAh. Although this might make the phone slightly thicker and heavier, it's considered a major upgrade for users wanting long battery life.

Like every year, Apple may launch the new iPhone 18 Pro series in September 2026. Currently, no official information has been released by the company, but leak reports claim this timeline, while regarding the price, there are no signs of a major price hike yet. The starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro in India is Rs 1,34,900, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max is priced at Rs 1,49,900. In such a situation, it's expected that the new series could also be launched in approximately the same price range. However, the final price will depend on production costs and market conditions.
