Delhi / Jamia professor Khalid Moin arrested for taking bribe, also gave infrastructural security certificate to chintels

The CBI has arrested Jamia Millia Islamia Professor Khalid Moin for accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. Moin, a professor in the civil engineering department, was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe from a Delhi-based architecture company, officials said on Wednesday.

Moin had recently given a structural safety certificate to the collapsed Chintels Paradiso Apartments in Gurugram. Two women had died in this accident. However, his arrest is not related to the case.

The investigating agency has also arrested Prakhar Pawar of Vyom Architect Company and Abid Khan of the same company. The CBI also conducted raids on the premises of the accused.
