After the postponement of the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has attacked the BJP-ruled Central Government and the State Election Commission. The Chief Minister has directly termed it the fear of defeat for the BJP. At the same time, the Delhi State Election Commission has been accused of kneeling before the Central Government. CM asked whether the Election Commission will now work under the pressure of the Central Government? And will Modi ji not conduct elections in this country now? While the Deputy Chief Minister has termed the commission's move to postpone the elections as a murder of democracy.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Delhi will give a befitting reply to this conspiracy of the BJP and AAP government will be formed with 260 seats in MCD. He claimed that the BJP would be wiped out in the corporation elections. CM asked whether the Election Commission will now work under the pressure of the Central Government? And will Modi ji not conduct elections in this country now?

On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the BJP has started throttling democracy when it is seen losing badly in the Delhi MCD elections. They allege that the BJP has forced the Election Commission to crawl on its knees by using saam-daam-dand-bhed. Due to this, the commission postponed the date of Delhi MCD elections. It has happened for the first time in history that when the Election Commission of the country on whose shoulders Babasaheb has given the responsibility that it will conduct elections in a fair manner on time, but the same Election Commission has throttled democracy.

According to Manish Sisodia, today is an unfortunate, dangerous and dark day for democracy. Despite the fixed schedule, the Commission had not announced the date of the election. If this tradition continues, BJP will postpone the state elections due to fear of defeat, Modi ji will postpone the Lok Sabha elections due to fear of defeat. Sisodia alleges that in the last 15-17 years, the Delhi MCD has been plagued by corruption by the BJP. This makes everyone sad. The BJP is so frightened by the anger of the people that it seems to be running away from the elections.

BJP is not afraid of elections: Adesh Gupta

new Delhi. State BJP President Adesh Gupta has said that BJP is never afraid of elections. The organization of BJP is always ready for elections. Gupta said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself is scared of elections. Because of his government's corrupt liquor policy, the public is angry with him. Gupta has also said that the people of Delhi know very well that the political malice of the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal government has a big role in increasing the problems of the three municipal corporations of Delhi.

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir replied to the Chief Minister by tweeting

BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has responded to the remarks made by the Chief Minister of Delhi on the MCD elections by tweeting. By tweeting in a poetic style, he said that what he does is very bad, we have seen the rising sun also setting. In another tweet, Gambhir said, "Kejriwal ji has done more with Bhagwant Mann... Never mind MCD elections will also happen and your intoxication will also be removed.

Both parties want to postpone elections to avoid defeat: Congress

new Delhi. In the matter of municipal elections, Delhi Congress has targeted the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP. Congress state president Anil Kumar alleged that both the parties wanted to postpone the elections to avoid a possible defeat. Congress has demanded to conduct the municipal elections in Delhi on time. The State President said that the workers are actively participating in the district workers' conferences of Congress. A large number of applications are being received in all the wards for the corporation elections.

...then the mayor of the municipal corporation will compete with the chief minister

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's stature has become so big that the state BJP is not in a position to compete. Even the Chief Minister does not answer the serious questions raised by the State BJP. The Chief Minister decides the political agenda of the state and BJP leaders are forced to land on his pitch. AAP's strategy in Delhi is similar to that of BJP at the Centre.

Having an integrated corporation will also help in implementing the schemes of the central government. There will be no problem in implementing Prime Minister Street Vendor Self-Reliant Fund Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Urban Awas Yojana, One Nation One Ration Card, Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Delhi also. These schemes are also expected to capture a large vote bank for the BJP.

Experts believe that the strategy behind consolidating MCD is to limit your gains. When there is a mayor in Delhi and he will get strength from the constitution, then his voice will be equal to that of the chief minister. Right now, due to different problems of the three corporations, their mayor does not have a single voice. If the central government unites all the three MCDs, then there will be a mayor of Delhi and the chairman of a standing committee.

In this way the power of the MCD will also be concentrated. With this, the BJP will also get a leader of equal stature to the Chief Minister of Delhi. On the other hand, the MCD alleges that the Delhi government keeps the funds withheld. In such a situation the development of Delhi is not possible. When there was integrated MCD, there was no paucity of funds. This was because the funds collected from the South Delhi and North Delhi MCDs are equally distributed to the East Delhi MCDs.

The post of Standing Committee Leader of Integrated MCD used to be powerful

When the MCD was integrated, the position of the leader of the Standing Committee was very powerful. When Congress veteran Ram Babu Sharma was the chairman of the Unified MCD Standing Committee, he had no less authority than the then Chief Minister Madanlal Khurana and the Chief Minister of his own party Sheila Dikshit. Similarly, the stature of BJP Mayor Shanti Desai was also no less than the then Chief Minister of Delhi.

Fear of anti-incumbency wave of 15 years

According to sources, the leaders of the BJP, which won a landslide victory in the elections of the Integrated Municipal Corporation in 2007 and then in 2012 and 2017 in all the three municipal corporations, are also afraid that this time victory may not be difficult. The major reason for this is believed to be the anti-incumbency wave of 15 years. Now if BJP loses the MCD election, then along with the leaders of the corporation, the working style of the seven BJP MPs will also be questioned.
