Delhi Budget 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party government of Union Territory Delhi has presented the budget for the year 2024 on Monday. Finance Minister Atishi, in his first budget speech in the state assembly, said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is trying to fulfill the dream of Ram Rajya. He said that the work of Kejriwal government is done only on the basis of the concept of Ram Rajya. This time Kejriwal government has presented a budget of Rs 76 thousand crore. More than Rs 16 thousand crore for education

Finance Minister of Delhi Government Atishi said that the government has kept a budget of Rs 16 thousand 396 crore for education. The Finance Minister has said that the Kejriwal government has built 22 thousand 711 classrooms in the last 9 years. The number of Schools of Excellence in Delhi is 38. He said that 2121 children studying in Delhi government schools have qualified JEE and NEET exams in 2023-2024. In the last 3 years, more than 4 lakh children have left private schools and enrolled in Delhi government schools.

Announcement of Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana

Kejriwal government has announced the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana. Under this scheme, all women above 18 years of age in Delhi will be given Rs 1000 every month. The Finance Minister said that the population of Delhi is only 1.55% of the total population of the country. Yet its contribution to GDP is more than double. Delhi's contribution to GDP at constant prices is going to be 3.89% in 2023-24.
