Cricket | West Indies all-rounder and limited overs captain Kieron Pollard has announced his retirement from international cricket. West Indies superstar Kieron Pollard played for West Indies for 15 years. Pollard is currently in India, where he is representing Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Kieron Pollard played 123 ODIs, scoring 2706 runs and taking 55 wickets. He was one of the best T20I batsmen in the world. Pollard had scored 1568 runs in 101 matches at a strike rate of 135.14. Pollard last played in India in February 2022, when he led the team in ODI and T20I series which the visiting team lost.

He is the third highest run-scorer in T20 cricket with 11,509 appearances in 587 matches. Most of Pollard's runs in T20 cricket have come for franchises in T20 leagues around the world.

Kieron Pollard announced his retirement on social media on Wednesday. Pollard said in a statement on social media, "As I move forward and make room for those who will lead the game in West Indies colours, I know I will always be supportive in whatever way I can." It is a deep gratitude for living my dream that I raise my bat now Salute to West Indies Cricket.
