PM Modi News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party in the Lok Sabha over Operation Sindoor. In his address, he targeted the party high command based on the statement of Congress's young MP Praniti Shinde. Although PM Modi talked about forgiving Praniti due to her youth and inexperience, he lashed out at the Congress leadership. He said, "The Congress boss does not have the courage, so he gets his point across to the young MPs."

Why did the PM get angry with Praniti Shinde's comment?

During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha, Congress MP from Solapur, Maharashtra, Praniti Shinde raised questions on the military action of the central government. He said, "Operation Sindoor was nothing but a 'tamasha' of the government in the media. No one is telling us what was achieved in this operation. How many terrorists were caught? How many fighter planes did we lose? The government should answer who is responsible and whose fault it is."

PM Modi took a tough stand on this statement of Praniti. He said, "A new member of Congress should forgive, but the Congress bosses who give them in writing and make them speak, do not have the courage. Calling Operation Sindoor a tamasha is a sin like sprinkling acid on the Pahalgam attack. There can be disagreement, but Congress leaders make people use such language."

Who is Praniti Shinde?

Praniti Shinde is a Lok Sabha MP from Solapur, Maharashtra and the daughter of former Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. Born on 9 December 1980, Praniti completed her studies from Bombay Scottish School and St. Xavier's College in Mumbai. She also has a law degree. In 2024, she contested the Lok Sabha elections for the first time and won. Earlier, she has been an MLA from Solapur Central and Working President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee.

PM Modi's sharp attack on Congress

During the discussion on Operation Sindoor, PM Modi also raised questions on the diplomatic failure of the Congress. Referring to the 26/11 Mumbai attack, he said, "Congress people are teaching us diplomacy, but I want to remind them of their diplomacy. Congress's love for Pakistan did not stop even after the 2008 Mumbai attack. A few weeks after the attack, under foreign pressure, the Congress government started talks with Pakistan."

He further said, "The then Congress government did not dare to expel even a single Pakistani diplomat from India, did not even cancel a single visa. If our government can curb terrorism, then what was the compulsion of Congress governments that they allowed terrorism to flourish? The reason for this is their policy of appeasement and vote bank politics."
