delhi : The staging of Ramlila by some students of Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is now embroiled in controversy. These students are accused of allegedly committing indecency and making fun of the characters of Ramayana. While they are being heavily pulled up on social media regarding this, the demand for their arrest has also started gaining momentum.

Video clips of Ramlila staging performed by some AIIMS students are going viral on social media. On this, the AIIMS Student Association issued a statement on Sunday saying that on behalf of the students, we apologize for the conduct of this play, which was not intended to hurt anyone's sentiments. We will ensure that no such activity happens in future.

Let us tell you that as soon as this video clip containing dialogues between Ram-Lakshman and Shoorpanakha went viral on social media, people got angry after seeing it. After this, hashtags like #ArrestAIIMSCulprits and #AntiHinduUnacademy remained trending on Twitter throughout the day.

In these reports going on social media, it is being told that this play was staged by a student named Shoaib Aftab, who has deliberately insulted the faith of Hindu religion by mocking it.
