Delhi Excise Policy Scam: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has given his response after Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia received CBI summons. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called Manish Sisodia as the Bhagat Singh of today. In a tweet, Kejriwal said, "The jail bars and the noose of the gallows could not deter Bhagat Singh's lofty intentions. This is the second fight for freedom. Manish and Satyendra are today's Bhagat Singh. After 75 years, the country got an education minister who gave hope of a bright future by giving good education to the poor, prayers of crores of poor are with you. Earlier, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had tweeted about the summons being sent by the CBI and said, 'I got CBI raid done at my house for 14 hours, nothing came out. Searched my bank locker, nothing came out of it. They did not find anything in my village. Now they have called me to CBI Headquarters tomorrow at 11 am. I will go and give my full cooperation.'

Manish Sisodia has been facing serious allegations in Delhi's Excise Policy scam. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had recommended a CBI inquiry into the matter. After this, the CBI also raided the Deputy CM's residence. The Lieutenant Governor had directed the Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to submit a report stating which government officials were not allowed to prepare, implement and modify the new excise policy as per their wish, in disregard to the rules. And administrators have played a key role.

This week, the Enforcement Directorate had raided various places in this case. So far three people have been arrested in this case. On Monday, a businessman from Hyderabad was also arrested in connection with this case. This businessman named Abhishek is accused of playing the role of middleman in this entire scam. When the ED raided 35 locations in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, Kejriwal had tweeted saying, "500 raids... more than 300 officers working round the clock for the last 3 months. All of them are trying to gather evidence against Manish Sisodia. Nothing was found, as there is no evidence there.'
