Israel-Iran War / 'Massive attack on Iran averted after talks with Trump', Netanyahu's big statement

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that a major attack on Iran was averted after talks with US President Donald Trump. Israel targeted a radar in response to Iranian missile attacks. Trump stopped Israel from bombing and asked it to follow the ceasefire.

Israel-Iran War: Amid the ongoing tension in the Middle East, a potential war between Israel and Iran has been averted, but the ceasefire situation still remains fragile. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that a major attack on Iran has been averted after talks with US President Donald Trump. The statement comes at a time when Israel launched a limited retaliatory strike targeting an Iranian radar early Tuesday.

A statement issued from Netanyahu's office said that the military action was taken in response to the missile attacks, but Israel refrained from further action after President Trump's intervention.

Trump's stern warning and public statement

President Trump gave a clear message on social media, writing, "Israel will not attack Iran. All planes are returning. No one will be harmed, ceasefire is in place!" He also said that the US is not planning any regime change in Iran.

Apart from this, while talking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, "I am not happy with Israel. It was not right to attack immediately after the ceasefire. Even if a rocket fell on the border, it should not be the reason for such a big reaction."

Allegations and counter-allegations from both sides on ceasefire

However, Israel claims that Iran fired missiles towards its borders within a few hours of the ceasefire coming into effect. On this, Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the army to give an immediate and harsh response. Katz said, "The missile attack despite the ceasefire is a direct violation and cannot be tolerated."

On the other hand, Iran's army has completely rejected the attack. A statement issued on Iran's state television said that its army and Revolutionary Guard have not carried out any attack and Israel's allegations are baseless.

What next?

Although a major confrontation has been averted this time due to Trump's diplomacy, distrust and instability still persists between Israel and Iran. The question is whether this ceasefire will last, or whether the stage is being set for another conflict.
