His words are the greatest gift to us. Today on the occasion of his 86th birthday, his daughter Meghna Gulzar writes a special note for her dad.

'Raazi' Director shared a picture of herself and her father Gulzar and wrote,"I know I'm protected...Because his arms cradle me. I know I walk the right path Because his little finger leads me. He dabbles in celluloid So I know I can see. I know I can write Because his ink flows in me. I know I can Because he believes I know I am Because he is"

Gulzar is known for his contribution to Indian cinema as a lyricist, writer and director He is the man who is loved by all generations and his vocabulary charms us all.

The magic he weaves with his words is pure bliss! From 'Ae Zindagi Gale laga le' to 'Tujhse Naraaz Nahin', from 'Kajra Re' to 'Namak Isq Ka', you have a romantic song as well as a dance numbers all penned by him so artistically.

Meanwhile, Meghna Gulzar whose last film 'Chhapaak' showcased the life of an acid attack survivor will soon be back with her next 'Manekshaw'.

The film is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo Pakistan War of 1971, and the first Indian Army Officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal.

Vicky Kaushal will be seen portraying the lead role in the film. It also features Manoj Bajpayee in a prominent role.
