Pakistan News: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had said many things on his visit to London from different forums regarding the government of India, democracy and the situation here. Rahul Gandhi had even told from the foreign forum that democracy in India is in danger. Foreign media gave a lot of attention to his visit. However, India denied this notion. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who reached America for a meeting with the World Bank, was asked about the condition of minorities in India.

The Finance Minister was told that foreign media talks about violence against minorities in India. Regarding this, Nirmala Sitharaman ripped apart the propaganda of foreign media. He said a lot about the minority population of India and neighboring Pakistan, which no one present there had any inkling of. But the question is whether the minorities have really been harassed in India. Let's understand this with figures...

Usually, on mentioning the minority community, people start associating it with the Muslim community, whereas it is not so. Other communities like Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists also come in the minorities of India. The data related to the census of India contains data related to every minority present in India.

Hindu population decreased in India, number of Muslims increased

The first census of independent India was done in the year 1951, at that time the Hindu population was 84.10 percent and the Muslim population was 9.80 percent. Apart from this, the total figure for other minorities was 6.10 percent. Similarly, if we look at the last census of India i.e. the census conducted in the year 2011, then according to that the Hindu population in the country is 78.35 percent and the Muslim population is 14.2 percent.

In this case, the Hindu population has decreased by about 6 percent compared to the 1951 census, while the Muslim population has increased by about 5 percent. So such people who consider the Muslim community as the only minority, and are sitting on the assumption that atrocities are being committed against them.

Non-Muslim minority also increased

Not only the Muslim population, the total population of other minority communities in the country has increased to 7.45 percent, that is, the population of non-Muslim minorities has also increased by about 1.3 percent as compared to the first census of 1951. According to PEW Research, by the year 2050, the Muslim population in India will increase from 14.2 percent to 18.4 percent. That is, there will be an increase of about 4 percent in it.

Economically also the minorities of the country are strong

Not only has the population of minorities in India increased, but the minorities of the country have also become economically strong. According to the National Family and Health Survey 2016, Hindus have only 19.3 percent of the total population of prosperous families, while Muslims have about 18.2 percent of the total population of prosperous families. Similarly, 29.10 percent of the total Christian population, 59.60 percent of the total population of Sikhs, 70.6 percent of the total population of Jain community have been described as prosperous.

In this way, the minorities living in India are far more prosperous and happy than the minorities of many other countries. Nirmala Sitharaman explained the same thing by giving the example of neighboring country Pakistan. It has often been seen that Pakistan is behind the propaganda being run against India. On many occasions, regarding the minorities of India, especially the Muslim community, it is Pakistan which runs propaganda against India all over the world.

Bad condition of Muslims in Pakistan

For Pakistan, minority means Muslim population only. In this also, Ahmadiyya Muslims, Hazaras, Ismailis in Pakistan and Muslims from India at the time of partition are not given the same status as Pakistani Muslims. The condition of these people is even worse than the minorities of Pakistan.

According to the 1951 census in Pakistan, the Hindu population was 12.9 percent. After this, in the census conducted in the year 1961, the Hindu population decreased to 10.7 percent. In the last census of Pakistan i.e. 2017 census, the Hindu population was 1.60 percent. That is, among the minorities of Pakistan, especially the population of Hindus has decreased continuously. Compared to the year 1951, the population of Hindus there has decreased by 11.3 percent.

But on the other hand, the Muslim population inside Pakistan was 85.80 percent in the year 1951, which has increased to 96.57 percent in the year 2017. Sunni and Shia Muslims make up the majority of this figure as well.

If a Muslim declares himself a Muslim in Pakistan, he has to go to jail.

The population of Ahmadiyya, Bohra, Hazara and Ismaili Muslims present in Pakistan is less than 4 percent of the total Muslim population. There are continuous attacks on these Muslim communities in Pakistan, due to which their population has reduced. While these people are part of the Muslim community only.

The situation in Pakistan is such that if Ahmadiyya Muslims call themselves Muslims, they can be jailed. You can understand that when only some Muslim communities are in danger in Pakistan, then what will be the condition of minorities especially non-Muslims.

This figure tells what is the condition of minorities in Pakistan. Especially how bad is the condition of Hindus. Countries around the world know that India is moving towards becoming a superpower in the next few decades. Seeing this, the problems of many enemy countries have increased.
