Monalisa Pregnancy Claim: Husband Farman Halts MP Police Action Amid Age Dispute

The case of viral girl Monalisa Bhosale and husband Mohammad Farman has taken a legal turn in Kochi. Following a pregnancy claim and a Kerala High Court stay, the Madhya Pradesh police had to return empty-handed. The dispute centers on Monalisa's age and POCSO Act charges.

The case involving Monalisa Bhosale, who became a social media sensation during the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, and her husband Mohammad Farman has entered a complex legal phase, while a five-member police team from Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, which traveled to Kochi, Kerala, to take the couple into custody, had to return without success. The case has now seen a significant development involving claims of pregnancy and a dispute over Monalisa's age.

Pregnancy Claim and Police Intervention

According to media reports, the Maheshwar police team, which included a female sub-inspector, reached Kochi to detain Farman and Monalisa. However, Mohammad Farman informed the police that Monalisa is pregnant, while he claimed that due to her medical condition, she's unable to travel or appear before the police immediately. Considering humanitarian grounds and legal hurdles, the MP police team had to return for the time being. However, the police have stated that they will investigate the veracity of this claim.

Age Dispute and Serious Legal Charges

The entire controversy stems from the dispute regarding Monalisa's age.

Relief from Kerala High Court

Amidst the action by the Madhya Pradesh police, the Kerala High Court has provided significant relief to Mohammad Farman. The court has stayed the arrest warrant issued against Farman until May 20. Due to this judicial order and Monalisa's alleged health condition, the Madhya Pradesh police were unable to take action against the couple despite being present in Kochi.

Plea for Protection and Search for Accomplice

Upon the arrival of the MP police in Kochi, Monalisa wrote letters to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Kochi Police Commissioner seeking protection. She alleged that there might be an attempt to forcibly take her back to Madhya Pradesh, while monalisa stated that she wishes to remain safe in Kerala with her husband. Meanwhile, the police are also searching for Farman's friend, Joshua. Joshua is accused of assisting the couple in hiding, providing accommodation, and arranging their marriage in Kerala. He currently remains at large.
