Along with the victim, her alleged lover was also brought to the police station. On Monday morning, the police reached the in-laws of the victim and investigated the case. The in-charge of the police station said that the victim and her lover have been brought to the police station.

The alleged lover of the victim is also married and is the father of two children. The love affair between the two was going on for almost a year.

In the adjoining village, some women had seen the woman's lover living in a rented house and the matter reached the woman's in-laws' side. According to the victim, on Sunday morning, her husband and sister were taken forcibly from their rented house to the village where they were beaten up along with several other women of the village by sitting in the in-law's courtyard. Then the shaving was done and in the late evening, the women roamed the whole village, sootting their faces.
