Gyanvapi Case: A hearing was held in the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday in the Gyanvapi case of Varanasi. The court has rejected the petition filed by the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee. The Allahabad High Court has rejected the petition filed by the mosque committee against the demand for regular worship of Shringar Gauri inside the Gyanvapi mosque premises. The court rejected the objection of the Muslim side and considered the petition of the Hindu side as admissible. Allahabad High Court Justice J.J. Munir's single bench has given this decision.

On December 23, 2022, the court had reserved its verdict on the demand for regular worship of Shringar Gauri of Varanasi after completion of the debate. The Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee challenged the decision of the District Judge Varanasi.

The decision was challenged on 12 September

In the Shringar Gauri case, a civil suit was filed by Rakhi Singh of the Hindu side and 9 others in the Varanasi court. The mosque's arrangement committee had filed an application in the High Court against the rejection of its objection in this case. In the application, the decision of the District Judge of Varanasi was challenged on September 12.

10 people including 5 women were made party

10 people, including 5 women who filed the petition in the court, were made parties. The court of the District Judge of Varanasi rejected the objection filed by the Muslim side.

The Muslim side argued in the court that the civil suit was not maintainable under the Places of Worship Act of 1991 and the Central Waqf Act of 1995. This decision of the District Judge was challenged by the Masjid Committee in the High Court.
