The S&P BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 Indexes rose to new record highs paced by gains in HDFC, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Power Grid, Mahindra & Mahindra and Yes Bank. The NSE Nifty 50 Index surged as much as 0.41 per cent or 48 points to an all-time high of 11,791 and the S&P BSE Sensex climbed as much as 197 points or 0.50 points to 39,253.67. The Nifty 50 Index moved above its previous record high of 11,760.20.
