95 percent vehicles are reaching the destination on time

The policy of reducing the time taken for change of driver and guard (crew-changing) in trains has started showing effect. Mission soon is visible not only on long distance trains but also on movement of goods trains. The advantage of this is that the goods train is also reaching its destination faster. 95% of the trains are reaching their destination on time.

Delhi Railway Division has set the record for the second highest interchange of goods trains. Delhi Railway Division has achieved second largest interchange of 348 trains. This includes 89 trains with Ambala division, 49 trains with Moradabad division, 60 trains with Kota, 49 trains with Prayagraj, 43 trains with Jaipur, 30 trains with Bikaner and 28 trains with Agra.

Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager, Northern Railway said that the drive has been started to increase the speed of goods trains. Under the continuous foot plate inspection mission by Traffic Inspector and Loco Inspector, crew change has been achieved in less than 5 minutes. All Railway Divisions have been directed to construct porta cabins with seating arrangement at both ends of the crew-changing lines/points. With this, crew-changing is being done in the shortest possible time. Delays of trains due to crew-changing are being reduced. Due to this the punctuality of trains has been maintained up to 95 percent. He said that the loading of food grains and other items has increased with each passing month.

Gangal said that an increase of 15:73 percent has been registered in the freight loading. This has also resulted in an increase of 23.51 percent in income. Railway personnel are doing better work on safety on tracks, increase in speed limit, pre-departure barrier of freight and freight loading. Night patrolling has also been increased.

Wait for metro on gray line will be less

Commuters traveling on the gray line of Delhi Metro will not have to wait much for the Metro. Last year, the gray line was extended to Dhansa bus stand, but due to lack of reversal facility, commuters had to wait for 10 minutes at Najafgarh metro station. Is. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the facility for metro reversal is being developed. With its completion, commuters will not have to wait much longer for the Metro. The construction is going on and in two-three months the wait of passengers for the metro on the gray line will be reduced.

The number of passengers on the gray line is much less than on the other lines. There is a corridor of about 4.2 km between Dwarka to Najafgarh, while beyond this there is a corridor of 5.19 km on the gray line between Dwarka-Dhansa Bus Stand Metro Station. Due to non-availability of reversal facility at present, commuters have to wait for the metro. It takes more time to bring the Metro back on the same track at Dhansa Bus Stand.

As a result, commuters have to wait for about 10 minutes for the Metro at Najafgarh Metro Station. At present, the construction work is going on, so the speed of metro is also less than Najafgarh. That's why commuters have to wait for the metro to return. At present there are three metro trains for the gray line. To avoid the long wait for the metro, some people are still using private vehicles so that they do not have to wait long to reach the destination.

Commuters have to wait due to low frequency of metro on gray line of Dwarka, Nangli, Najafgarh, Dhansa Bus Stand metro stations. This also causes delay in reaching the Blue Line beyond Dwarka. This affects their journey and takes more time to reach the destination.
