Banke Bihari Mandir Stampede: There is news of an accident in the world famous Thakur Banke Bihari temple of Krishna city Mathura-Vrindavan. It is being told that during the Mangla Aarti of Janmashtami, there was a stampede in the temple, due to which the accident happened. Two people were killed in the stampede in the temple and many people are said to be injured. The injured have been sent to the hospital.

Let us tell you that Mangala Aarti is the first aarti in the morning, which is done around 3-4 o'clock. Since yesterday, a large number of devotees were reaching the temple to have darshan. There was a huge crowd in the temple even during Mangala Aarti. In the meantime, there is talk of a sudden stampede.

There is always a gathering of devotees from all over the country and abroad in the Banke Bihari temple of Vrindavan, but the crowd increases on the occasion of Janmashtami. It is being said that all the hotel-lodges and ashrams of Mathura-Vrindavan were full on the occasion of Janmashtami. Lakhs of people had come to celebrate Janmashtami. Many people also spent the night sleeping on the sidewalk. It was said on behalf of the administration that full security arrangements were made. Yesterday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also went to Mathura and worshiped Lord Krishna, due to which many people also reached Mathura.

It is being said that about 50 lakh devotees had reached Mathura to celebrate Janmashtami, which is a large number according to the capacity of the area. At present, formal information is yet to come from the administration regarding the accident.
