National / Over 3.5 lakh citizens vaccinated through Co-WIN without documents: Govt

As of July 26, up to 3.83 lakh, people without photo ID had been vaccinated by Cowin, State Health Minister Bharati Pravin Pawar said Friday. 

All recipients who have been vaccinated in India are registered on the Cowin portal, he said in a written answer to a question about Lok Sabha   "As of July 26, 2021, a total of 3.83 lakh people without photo ID" were vaccinated by Cowin ", he said.  

The Center has issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to facilitate the vaccination of authorized persons who do not have the required photo identification.  


Registration and vaccination of people without access to digital technology can be done by registering without prior appointment and vaccination of an individual or groups of people in the COVID19 Vaccination Center (CVC), registration in the centres of common services, registration of up to four people using a unique mobile phone number to facilitate the registration of people without a mobile phone, the use of assisted registrations via the National COVID19 Helpline (1075) or state-integrated helplines.   


In addition, people without an identity (PWI) can be vaccinated in special sessions.
