After suffering a crushing defeat in Operation Sindoor, Pakistan lives in fear of attack from India and Israel. In response, it has signed a strategic mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia. Under the agreement, an attack on one country will be considered an attack on both.

Pakistan News: In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22nd, India launched a devastating attack on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor. Over 100 terrorists were killed in this operation. Pakistan attempted to retaliate, but India destroyed 11 of its military bases with missile strikes. India also destroyed Chinese and Turkish weapons used by Pakistan. Following this crushing defeat, Pakistan now fears a continued attack from India.

Defense Agreement with Saudi Arabia

Pakistan signed a significant defense agreement with Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to strengthen its security. Under this agreement, an attack on either country will be considered an attack on both. This agreement was signed during Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's visit to Riyadh. According to Pakistan's Geo News and Dawn newspapers, this strategic mutual defense agreement aims to enhance security cooperation between the two countries and contribute to regional and global peace.

Joint Statement of the Two Countries

The joint statement issued after the agreement stated:

"Continuing the nearly eight-decade-long partnership based on brotherhood, Islamic unity, and shared strategic interests, the two sides signed the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement. This agreement reflects a joint commitment to further strengthen bilateral security relations and contribute to regional and global peace."

Pakistan Also Threatened by Israel

Pakistan fears attack not only from India but also from Israel. This agreement was signed with Saudi Arabia in the name of Islamic brotherhood, so that Saudi Arabia can assist in its defense in the event of an attack. According to a Geo News report, the main objective of this agreement is to enhance defense cooperation and strengthen joint resistance against any aggression.

Attempts to Increase Cooperation with Gulf Countries

Following the failure of Chinese and Turkish weapons in Operation Sindoor, Pakistan is now engaged in strengthening its relations with Gulf countries. In the changed strategic circumstances, Pakistan also feels threatened by Israel. During this deal, Shahbaz Sharif accompanied a team of senior officials to Riyadh, including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tardar, Environment Minister Musaddiq Malik, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

Shahbaz Sharif's Frequent Visits to Gulf Countries

This was Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's third visit to the Gulf region in a week. Previously, he had visited Qatar twice, where he expressed solidarity with Doha following Israel's attack on the Hamas leadership and participated in an emergency meeting of Arab-Islamic countries.
