Operation Sindoor / Pakistan was scared and begged due to India's attacks, Defence Minister told Parliament

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told the Parliament that India had dealt a heavy blow to the terrorists in Operation Sindoor on 6-7 May. More than 100 terrorists were killed. Pakistan's missile attack attempts failed. India stopped the operation after the military objectives were achieved.

Operation Sindoor: A special discussion was held on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha on Monday in the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh elaborated on the importance of this military action and its results. He said that this operation was not just a military action, but it was a symbol of the government's responsibility towards India's sovereignty, identity and safety of citizens.

Objective and implementation of Operation Sindoor

The Defense Minister said that on 6 and 7 May 2025, the Indian Army carried out a historic military action under Operation Sindoor. Every aspect was studied in depth before this operation. The Defense Minister said, "We had many options, but we chose the path in which there would be maximum damage to the terrorists and their hideouts and there would be no harm to the common citizens of Pakistan."

In this operation, Indian forces targeted 9 terrorist hideouts, in which more than 100 terrorists, their trainers, handlers and associates were killed. These terrorists belonged to organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen, which have the open support of Pakistan Army and ISI.

Salute to the bravery of Indian Army

The Defense Minister said, "I salute those brave sons through this House, who are always ready to protect the borders of this nation. At the same time, I also salute the memory of those soldiers who sacrificed for the unity and integrity of India."

Pakistan's unsuccessful counter attack

The Defense Minister said that on May 10, 2025 at 1:30 pm, Pakistan attacked India with missiles, drones, rockets and other long-range weapons. However, the air defense system, counter drone system and electronic equipment of the Indian forces completely foiled this attack. Rajnath Singh said proudly, "Pakistan was not able to hit any of our targets. Our security system was tight." In response, the Indian Air Force targeted Pakistan's airports, command and control centers, military infrastructure and air defense systems. The Indian Army took a strong stand on the Line of Control and gave a befitting reply to every action of Pakistan.

Operation Sindoor: An example of tri-service coordination

The Defense Minister described Operation Sindoor as a great example of Tri Services Coordination. He said, "When the Air Force attacked from the sky, the Army took the front on the ground and the Navy showed its strength in the sea." The aim of this operation was to destroy terrorist bases and their supporters, as well as to give the message that India adopts a zero tolerance policy against terrorism.

Why was the operation stopped?

The Defense Minister clarified that India stopped the operation because all political and military objectives had been met. He said, "To say that the operation was stopped under any pressure is baseless and wrong." The purpose of the operation was to get justice for the innocent families who lost their loved ones in Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attacks.

Responding to questions raised by the opposition, Rajnath Singh said, "The opposition asks how many of our planes were shot down? Their question does not represent the national sentiments correctly. They should ask how many enemy hideouts were destroyed by our forces." He reiterated that India completely destroyed the terrorist hideouts.

Pakistan's defeat

The Defence Minister said that on May 10, Pakistan's DGMO contacted India's DGMO and appealed to stop military operations. On May 12, formal dialogue took place between the two countries and a decision was taken to stop military operations. Rajnath Singh said, "The tremendous attacks by Indian forces and strong retaliation on the Line of Control forced Pakistan to bow down. It was a defeat of both their military and morale."
