Pakistani reporter Myra Hashmi has issued a clarification regarding the video going viral. In a viral video, she slaps a boy in front of the camera. The report claimed that the boy was harassing a female journalist. Now 24-year-old Myra Hashmi has spoken on this incident while reporting on the occasion of E-ul-Adha on July 9.

In a tweet in Urdu language, he said, explained to him (the boy) that this is not what it is visible. Actually, there was a family, which was being interviewed and that boy was troubling them. He was even politely refused several times. But the boy kept abusing. So he had to be slapped to teach him a lesson.

Let us tell you that when this video went viral, Twitter split into two parts. While some social media users tweeted in support of the journalist, saying that the boy must have misbehaved, many others said that the journalist's actions were unnecessary. Many even called her the lady Chand Nawab.

This time too, he is facing both praise and criticism after issuing the clarification. Some people tweeted in his support that what he did was good, while some called it an unprofessional act.

Another Pakistani journalist Siddha Dhar tweeted in Urdu, "The reporter is not a social worker but if the boy is being rude to a family in front of him despite his warnings...they can do something like this (slap maar)." Even journalists have to face such difficult situations sometimes. Should they tolerate it? I'm with you."

Many termed Myra's slap scandal as a 'publicity stunt' and wrote, "She is lying. She herself uploaded the video to attract attention. But did not upload the part where the boy was teasing a family." .
