Ashok Gehlot Vs Sachin Pilot: Today Sachin Pilot is going to sit on hunger strike in Jaipur against his own government. The purpose of this fast of Sachin Pilot is to remind Gehlot of his promises and to express his displeasure over not taking action on corruption in the previous government of Vasundhara Raje. Till now the fight between Gehlot and Pilot was internal, but today this fight is going to be seen openly on the road. At the same time, AICC in-charge of Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has termed Pilot's fast as anti-party.

Congress told the fast against the interests of the party

Hours before Rajasthan leader Sachin Pilot's fast against his state government's inaction on the corruption of the previous government, Congress state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa termed his agitation as an anti-party activity. AICC in-charge of Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa issued a statement saying Sachin Pilot's day-long fast is against party interests and is an anti-party activity. If he has any problem with his own government then it can be discussed in party forums instead of media and public. Randhawa said that I am AICC in-charge for the last 5 months and Pilot ji never discussed this issue with me. I am in touch with him and I still appeal for calm talks as he is an asset to the Congress party.

Meanwhile, the Congress on Sunday came out in support of party veteran and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot after his former deputy Pilot claimed that he did not act on any complaint against BJP leader and former chief minister Vasundhara Raje over corruption charges. Didn't do it and announced a day-long fast on 11th April as a protest. In a statement, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the Congress government in Rajasthan with Gehlot as chief minister has implemented a large number of schemes and taken several new initiatives, which have deeply impressed the people. He said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Rajasthan is an outstanding success made possible by the dedication and determination of the party organization in the state.
