Independence Day: On the 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. During this, PM Modi kept his point in front of the countrymen on many subjects and issues. The PM also expressed concern over the violence in several parts of the country including Manipur. Along with this, expressed concern about the floods in many states. He said that the central and state governments will work together to establish peace across the country and take development works forward.

PM Modi spoke on Manipur

PM Modi also expressed his concern about the violence that has been going on in Manipur for the last several days. The PM said that violence in some parts of the Northeast, especially in Manipur, is a matter of great concern. The crime committed against women and daughters here has brought shame to the country. But since a few days, peace has returned there. PM Modi said that the state government there and the Center are restoring peace and soon the old situation will be restored. He said that today the whole country is standing shoulder to shoulder with Manipur and its people.

Expressed concern about natural calamity

This time the natural calamity created unimaginable distress in many parts of the country. I express my condolences to all the families who have endured this crisis. I assure that the state-central government together will be free from all those crises and move towards rapid development.

A small king was defeated in a small state. But then it was not even known that one incident would entrap India in slavery for a thousand years and we kept getting stuck in slavery. There is no dearth of opportunities in the country – PM Modi

PM Modi said that today the youth have given India a place in the first three startup ecosystems of the world. He said that there is no dearth of opportunities in the country, as many opportunities will be found as needed. You make efforts, the government will provide you opportunities. PM Modi said that we have democracy, population and diversity and this triveni has the potential to make every dream of India come true.
