Lok Sabha Election / Rahul filed nomination from Wayanad, many leaders including Priyanka Gandhi were present in the road show

Lok Sabha Election: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi filed nomination from Wayanad on Wednesday. During this time his sister Priyanka Gandhi was also present. Before filing nomination, he started a road show from Kalpetta. During the road show, Rahul Gandhi said that here "there is an issue of man-animal conflict, there is an issue of medical college. I stand with the people of Wayanad in this fight. We have tried to put pressure on the government regarding the medical college. Have written a letter to the CM. But unfortunately he has not moved forward. I have full confidence that if we have a government in Delhi and when our government is formed in Kerala, we will resolve these issues.

Said this to the voters

Rahul Gandhi said, "It is an honor for me to be your member of Parliament. I do not treat you like a voter nor think about you. I treat you like that and think about you Like I think of my younger sister Priyanka. I have sisters, mother, father and brothers in Wayanad homes and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretaries KC Venugopal and Deepa Das, AICC student wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar, opposition in the state assembly VD Satheesan and KPCC (Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee) working president. MM Hassan also participated in the road show. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had secured 7,06,367 votes out of the total 10,92,197 votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, while his nearest rival P P Sunir of the Communist Party of India got only 2,74,597 votes. Voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Kerala this year will be held on 26 April.

Second phase of voting in Wayanad

Voting is to be held in the second phase in Wayanad. Voting will be held there on 26th April. In the last elections, Rahul Gandhi had contested against CPI's PP Sunir. However, Rahul Gandhi had won here by about 5 lakh votes. This time he is facing BJP's K Surendran. At present he is the President of Kerala BJP. The interesting thing is that he started his politics as the Wayanad District President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. In the last Lok Sabha elections, K Surendran had contested from Pathanamthitta, however he had to face defeat in the elections.
