Rahul Gandhi's Bold Claim: "36 Cases Against Me, Not Afraid of PM Modi," Slams TMC in Bengal

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on PM Narendra Modi and CM Mamata Banerjee during his West Bengal rallies. He stated that despite facing 36 cases, he is not afraid of the PM, while accusing TMC of corruption and unemployment.

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, addressed three major rallies in West Bengal's Serampore, Kolkata, and Metiabruz on Saturday. During these rallies, Rahul Gandhi launched a fierce attack on both the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the State Government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. At the Metiabruz rally, Rahul Gandhi explicitly stated that there are 36 cases against him, but he isn't afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

'Only Congress Can Defeat BJP'

Addressing the gathering in Metiabruz, Rahul Gandhi targeted the ideology of the BJP and RSS. He alleged that PM Modi is attacking democracy across the country and stealing votes.

Allegations of Corruption and Unemployment Against Mamata Banerjee

Rahul Gandhi also leveled serious allegations against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while he stated that Mamata Banerjee has spread unemployment in the state. Citing figures, Rahul said that in the last election, Mamata Banerjee promised jobs to 5 lakh youth, but today there are 84 lakh unemployed youth in Bengal who have demanded unemployment allowance. He also accused the Chief Minister of involvement in the Saradha and Chit Fund scams.

'Mamata is Opening the Way for BJP in Bengal'

Rahul Gandhi alleged that Mamata Banerjee's government isn't functioning correctly and is running a corrupt administration. He claimed that Mamata Banerjee is opening the path for Narendra Modi and the BJP in Bengal, while according to Rahul, the lack of employment and development in the state is giving the BJP an opportunity to gain ground. He emphasized that a BJP government should never come to power in Bengal, but the current Chief Minister's policies are paving the way for them.

Network of Corruption and Hooliganism in the State

Rahul Gandhi remarked that both the BJP and TMC have caused significant damage to the people of West Bengal out of greed for power, while he alleged that a network of corruption and hooliganism (gundagardi) has spread across the entire state, leaving the public distressed while the government remains a silent spectator. He concluded by stating that this is a reality that no one can deny.
