Politics News: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on 'Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra' these days. The yatra started from Manipur on 14 January. Presently he is in Assam. As soon as he entered Assam on Thursday morning, he attacked former Congress leader and current Chief Minister of the state Himanta Biswa Sarma. This is the first time that Rahul Gandhi has attacked any of his former colleagues in this manner. He called Himanta the biggest corrupt person.Chief Minister is working to divide Assam- RahulAddressing a public meeting during the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, Rahul said, "BJP and the Chief Minister are working to divide Assam. You people know that the most corrupt Chief Minister of India is from Assam." Rahul said that all the members of his family be it his children, his wife or himself. Everyone is engaged in some corruption or the other. They think that everything can be bought with money but money cannot buy the people of Assam."The Yatra should not go through the cities – Chief MinisterAs soon as the Yatra entered Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma got furious. Speaking to the media on Thursday, he said that the Yatra should not go through the cities. Whatever alternative route is sought, permission will be given but if there is insistence on going through the city, we will not make police arrangements. I will register a case and arrest after the elections. I won't do anything right now."
