West Bengal | A resolution has been introduced in the Bengal Assembly against Nupur Sharma, who was surrounded by her remarks on Prophet Mohammad. This proposal was brought by the Mamta Banerjee government, on which there was a ruckus. In protest against this proposal, BJP MLAs led by Shubhendu Adhikari staged a walkout. In this resolution, the Mamta government alleged that the BJP has been doing politics of hatred. Not only this, before this, Mamta Banerjee herself has also demanded the arrest of Nupur Sharma many times.

In the resolution passed against Nupur Sharma, the Mamta government has attacked the BJP and described it as a party doing politics of provocation and hate. There were demonstrations against Nupur Sharma in many states of the country including UP, Maharashtra and Bengal. There were agitations in many other cities including Howrah in Bengal and in many places these demonstrations turned violent. Responding to this, Mamta Banerjee said that BJP does politics of provocation and hatred. Along with this, he told the protesting people that they should go to Delhi and agitate instead of Bengal.

Let us inform that Nupur Sharma was called today for questioning by Kolkata Police in the matter of remarks on the Prophet, but he has sought 4 weeks time for personal appearance.
