Russia : Nine months have passed since the war between Ukraine and Russia, but so far neither of them is ready to back down. In July, with the intervention of the United Nations and Turkey, the consignment was approved for the sale of ration from Ukraine. India had also played a role behind the scenes in this whole conversation and had persuaded Russia to give way to ships loaded with grain. Not only this, two months later, when Russia started bombing the nuclear plant in Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine, there was a panic in the whole world. Meanwhile India again intervened and persuaded Russia to retreat.

Meanwhile, once again discussions are starting whether India's intervention will lead to peace between Russia and Ukraine. During the war between Ukraine and Russia, India has intervened and proved its worth at crucial times. This week, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is going to visit Russia. It is believed that during this time he can also talk to Russia about ending the war with Ukraine. According to the New York Times report, the eyes of diplomats around the world are on this visit. Indian government officials have also been discussing that when the right time comes, India can play the role of mediator between Russia and Ukraine.

Will Ukraine bow down to the crisis in winter?

In the nine-month war so far, neither Russia nor Ukraine has expressed any intention to withdraw. Ukraine believes it has strengthened its position in the war over the past few months. On the other hand, Russia clearly believes that it will not back down. However, in the meantime the winter days have arrived. Energy supply could become a major crisis in winter across Europe, including Ukraine. In such a situation, Ukraine can agree to stop the war. In such a situation, if Russia is persuaded by India, then a big war in the world can stop.

Why India will be trustworthy to Russia and Ukraine

Experts believe that if both the countries do not retreat from the front of the war, then at least they can agree on a ceasefire. Earlier this year, French President Emmanuel Macron also spoke to PM Narendra Modi about this. However, the efforts of India and France have not been able to get off the ground. But it has definitely shown that India is in a position to take an initiative between the two countries. Jeff M. Smith, director of the Asian Studies Center, said that if Russia and Ukraine agree on a third party for talks, then India's role could be important. Both the countries will be in a position to trust him.
