Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has praised India's foreign policy. Sarge has praised India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for his decision to decide his own foreign policy without coming under international pressure, saying that S Jaishankar is the real patriot of India.

Sergey Lavrov said – Despite the pressure on India from all over the world regarding trade with Russia, India is firm on its decision and is making its foreign policy accordingly. This is a big deal.

Sergey Lavrov further said- We are taking decisions for our country on the basis of what India believes in its development and security. Not many countries have the courage to speak so outspoken. Russia cannot rely on Western countries for food security, defense and some strategic areas. We stand ready to cooperate with all countries that do not care about the immoral sanctions imposed on Russia by the international community and India is one of them.

Significantly, India, which is buying crude oil from Russia, has agreed to give medical equipment to Russia. Western countries have imposed many economic and trade sanctions on Russia, due to which there is a shortage of medical equipment in Russia. In such a situation, Russia is once again looking towards India for help and India is also ready to help Russia. Talks are going on between the two countries about the exchange medium i.e. in which currency the trade will take place. It is being said that both the countries will trade in local currency as was done during the Cold War.
