Schools closed till 26 January

Haryana government has decided to keep all schools and colleges closed till 26 January. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that online classes will continue to run smoothly during this period.

There was a rapid increase in corona cases in Haryana on Sunday and a total of 5,166 new cases were reported. According to the state government, 2,338 of these cases were from Gurugram district alone. On Sunday, 13 new cases of infection from Omicron variants were reported in Haryana.

Omicron raises concern

As of Monday, out of a total of 4,033 patients of Omicron in the country, 1,552 have recovered or have left the country. At the same time, Maharashtra has the highest number of 1,216 cases of Omicron. After this, 529 cases have been registered in Rajasthan, 513 in Delhi, 441 in Karnataka, 333 in Kerala and 236 in Gujarat.

In view of the increasing cases of corona not only in Haryana, it has been announced to close the school in Rajasthan too. Expanding the scope of restrictions, the Rajasthan government announced the closure of schools up to 12th in all urban areas of the state till January 30, as well as curfew on Sunday, limiting market hours and limiting the seating capacity of restaurants. Was.
