New Delhi : The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Sunday arrested two more people in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala. The arrested accused include Ankit Sirsa, the shooter who allegedly shot Moosewala from close range. The police have so far arrested five people in the case. Ankit hails from Sirsa village in Haryana and has two cases registered against him in Rajasthan on charges of attempt to murder. He had joined the gang just 4 months back.

After the arrest, many videos of the accused are going viral on social media. In a viral video, Sidhu Musewala's murder accused Ankit Sirsa, Priyavrat Fauji, Kapil, Sachin Bhiwani and Deepak, sitting inside the car, are seen demonstrating guns. When and where is this video from? It is not known about this yet.

During the arrest, two pistols and 19 cartridges, three Punjab Police uniforms, two mobile phones, one dongle and SIM card were recovered from the possession of police Ankit and Bhiwani.

Significantly, Sidhu Musewala was shot dead on May 29 in Mansa district of Punjab. Last month, three people, including two shooters, were arrested by the Special Cell in connection with the murder of Musewala. They were identified as Priyavrat alias Fauji (26), a resident of Haryana's Sonipat district, Kashish, a resident of Jhajjar district, and Keshav Kumar (29), a resident of Bathinda, Punjab.

According to Special Cell officials, Ankit Sirsa and Sachin Bhiwani were arrested from Kashmere Gate area on Sunday night. Both Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar are wanted criminals of the gang. According to the police, Ankit is one of the shooters involved in the Punjabi singer's murder, while Sachin Bhiwani had provided shelter and other assistance to these shooters. Sachin, a resident of Haryana, looks after the work of Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Rajasthan. He is also wanted in another case in Churu, Rajasthan.

Special Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) H.G.S. Dhaliwal told a press conference that after the initial arrests in the case, several teams were working extensively to nab those involved in providing them logistics support, weapons and hideouts. Dhaliwal said that our team had conducted raids in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat and Delhi. He continued to work on the clues he received. On Sunday around 11 pm, our team arrested Ankit, who shot Moosewala from close range. Sachin Bhiwani was also caught with him. According to Dhaliwal, Bhiwani had provided all possible help to all the shooters before and after the murder.
