Dhaka: Bangladesh Police has arrested 6 people in connection with the gang-rape of a 22-year-old girl in a moving bus in Sawar area of ​​Dhaka. According to BD News, this incident of gang-rape took place at Ashuliya cattle market on Friday night. The victim lodged a case at the Ashulia police station immediately after the incident.

The victim was going back from her sister's house

According to the complaint, the victim was on her way to Narayanganj from her sister's house in Manikganj. She reached the Nabinagar bus stand at around eight o'clock on Friday night to catch the second bus. During this time, the woman met Nazmul, a person of acquaintance.

Ashulia Police Officer Jiyul Islam said that when they were waiting for the second bus, a bus arrived there. Munvvar and Saiful, who were driving Sumon, were present on the bus as assistants. He said that they would charge 35 taka till Tongi Station Road.

The poor have taken the girl's friend hostage

Police sources said that when the woman and Najmul boarded the bus, the accused took the other passengers off their floor before the bus. The accused then took the woman and Najmul hostage. Then took them back to Nabinagar. 6 accused gang-raped the woman in the bus.

He said that the policemen stopped the bus when the police patrolling party passing by heard the sound of Najmul screaming for help. Then all 6 people were arrested. In this way the young woman and her accompanying Nazmul are rescued from their clutches.
