Earthquake In Delhi-NCR: Once again strong earthquake tremors have been felt in Delhi-NCR. An earthquake has occurred for the second time in the last three days, due to which people are scared. After the strong tremors of the earthquake that occurred on Monday evening, people came out of their homes and offices and reached the empty grounds. The earthquake occurred at 4:18 pm, whose intensity on the Richter scale was 5.6. Its center was Nepal and the depth was 10 kilometers. At present there has been no news of any loss of life or property.

Yesterday an earthquake of 3.1 magnitude occurred in Churachandpur, Manipur. National Center for Seismology (NSC) had said that the earth shook at 5:42 pm. At the same time, earlier in the day, an earthquake of 3.6 magnitude had occurred in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh at 1 am. Earlier on Friday, tremors were felt in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and some other parts of North India due to an earthquake of 6.4 magnitude in Nepal.

More than 230 people died in Nepal

The epicenter of Friday's earthquake was at Ramidanda in Jajarkot district, about 550 km from Kathmandu. This earthquake caused huge devastation. Jajarkot and Rukum West were the two districts most affected. At least 105 people were killed and an equal number were injured in Jajarkot. In Rukum West, 52 people were reported dead and 85 injured.

The earthquake occurred at midnight on Friday i.e. 11:47 pm. This is a time when most of the family is sleeping. Then a sudden earthquake shook Nepal. This was the deadliest earthquake in Nepal since 2015. Earlier, there were two earthquakes measuring 7.8 and 7.3 on the Richter scale, in which about 8,000 people were killed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had talked about providing all possible assistance on the damage caused by the earthquake in Nepal. He had tweeted saying that he is deeply saddened by the loss of life and damage to property due to the earthquake in Nepal. India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to provide all possible assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and we wish speedy recovery to the injured.
