While the other accused Sunny Mehta was arrested from Rohru. Earlier, Punjab Police had arrested the girl who made the video. The girl is also a resident of Rohru in Shimla. She has known the boys for a long time.

The administration accepted the demand of the students

According to sources, the students asked the police and the university administration to conduct a transparent investigation into the matter on Saturday night, investigate the lathi charge on Saturday, give compensation to the hospitalized students, increase the timing of the girls hostel from 8:30 to 9:30 and There has been a demand to change all the warden of the hostel.

 1- Around 4 pm, a large number of students started gathering outside the university campus in Mohali. Soon, a huge crowd of students gathered in the university campus, as the evening progressed, the anger of the students also increased. Students wearing black clothes started registering their protest by lighting mobile lights in their hands. Seeing the anger of the students, the top police officers reached the spot and started trying to persuade the students. But the students did not agree.

2- The demonstration of the students continued till late night. The police continued to try to persuade the students. According to the police officials, the investigation is going in the right direction, at present, a large number of students have returned after extinguishing the persuasion of the police. Still, many students continued to sit on dharna.

3- The accused student is already in the custody of the police. In such a situation, the police has also arrested the youth accused of making the video viral. The accused youth was caught from Rohru in Shimla. 4 mobile phones have been found from the accused youth. The accused has been handed over to the Punjab Police. The accused youth is said to be 23 years old. Apart from this, the police has also caught a partner of the accused youth. His age is said to be 31 years.

4- Here, after this entire incident, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ordered an inquiry into the matter on Sunday. After preliminary investigation, the police arrested a girl student. Apart from this, a 23-year-old youth has been arrested from Himachal Pradesh, who is being told as the boyfriend of the said student. The youth has been arrested and handed over to the Punjab Police. Himachal Pradesh Police has also arrested another 31-year-old man in this case.

5- Punjab Additional Director General of Police Gurpreet Dev, who reached the campus of Chandigarh University along with other senior officials to take stock of the situation after the overnight protest, told reporters that it appears that the accused student shared a video of herself with the youth. University officials also dismissed as "false and baseless" reports that claimed that videos of several girl students in the university hostel were made and shared on social media and that several students committed suicide after the episode. 8- Officials said that a case has been registered under Section 354C of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act and investigation is going on. Chief Minister Mann has ordered an inquiry into the incident and said that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.

9- Chief Minister Mann tweeted, "Sad to hear about the unfortunate incident of Chandigarh University...Our daughters are our honor...High level inquiry has been ordered in the matter...Whoever will be found guilty." Strict action will be taken against him.” He said, “I am in touch with the administration.” Along with this, Mann appealed to the people not to pay heed to the rumours.

10- There were strong reactions from the political parties regarding this incident and the central and state women's rights bodies also intervened. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal said those involved in the case would get "the harshest punishment". Kejriwal tweeted, "Victim daughters have courage. We are all with you. All act with restraint."
