New Delhi: At a time when wrestling icon Sushil Kumar is witnessing his fall from grace for his alleged involvement in the murder case of wrestler Sagar Rana, a Delhi-based shopkeeper has made some serious allegations against the two-time Olympic medallist on Sunday. One of the most popular athletes in the Indian sports fraternity, wrestler Sushil has been arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with the tragic death of 23-year-old wrestler Sagar at the Chhatrasal Stadium.

While the Delhi Police are reportedly looking to arrest more associates of wrestler Sushil, the Delhi-based shopkeeper has opened up about an incident in which he was reportedly assaulted by the wrestling icon and his closed aides. According to the shopkeeper, the troubled wrestler had refused to clear pending arrears.

As per a ground report from Mirror Now's Alok Singh, more allegations have been levelled against wrestler Sushil. The shopkeeper spoke at length about the incident in which he was allegedly attacked by Sushil and his close aides. The shopkeeper revealed that he was beaten by Sushil and his aides when he asked him to clear arrears of Rs 4 lakh.

He has further alleged that local police initially refused to lodge a complaint against the wrestler. The grocery shop owner asserted that he was 'very scared' after the violent incident. The latest developments have come after Delhi Police reportedly arrested nine people in connection with the murder case.

According to a report filed by news agency IANS, the Delhi Police Crime Branch is on the hunt for three more persons in connection with the murder probe into wrestler Sagar's murder case. On Saturday, the Delhi Court had sent wrestling icon Sushil to four-day police custody. Sagar succumbed to injuries in hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by wrestler Sushil and his associates earlier this month.
