Now despite this, Shashi Tharoor has also raised this demand challenging the party. Shashi Tharoor had already indicated that he may contest the election for the post of president.

All the big leaders of this group had also met Ghulam Nabi. Since then, everyone is preparing for the election of the President. It is being told that this group is trying to field a candidate against Rahul Gandhi.

Let us tell you that there was a demand from the Congress for the election of the President for a long time. This demand was rising in the party since the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. After which the election for the post of Congress President will finally be held on October 17. Two days after this i.e. on October 19, its result will be revealed.
