According to the information, miscreants set fire to the private warehouse of Manipur minister L Susindro at Chingarel in East Imphal district on Saturday.

By the time the fire engines were able to control the fire, the entire godown was gutted. Apart from this, on Friday night also, an attempt was made to set fire to another property of the Minister of Consumer and Food Affairs and his residence in Khurai in the same district. In view of the tense situation in Manipur, Home Minister Amit Shah has called an all-party meeting. It will also include representatives of TMC and NCP.

Firing in two districts for three days

Apart from this, violence is continuing in two districts of Manipur for the last three days. The sound of continuous firing is heard in East Imphal and Kangpokpi. Encounter between security forces and unknown assailants is going on here for the last three days.

According to the Times of India report, security forces sources say that this firing is taking place between the joint patrolling team of Army and BSF and the attackers. However, the news of any casualty has not come to the fore so far. According to the information, the firing is taking place in two villages Urangpat and Gwaltabi of East Imphal and Yangangpokpi of Kangpokpi.

Urangpat and Gwaltabi villages were targeted

It is being told that the armed attackers had entered the mountainous areas from Yegangpoksi to target Urangpat and Gwaltabi villages. After this he started firing with automatic weapons. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Army and BSF personnel were immediately deployed in the area and started retaliating. In view of the continuous attacks in both the villages, people have left the village.

Apart from the exchange of fire that lasted for an hour in these two villages of East Imphal, there was also a shootout between the security forces and the attackers in Yangangpokpi.
