Smoldering garbage even after 21 hours / The work of extinguishing the fire at Ghazipur landfill site is still going on, people's life is miserable

The fire that broke out on Monday afternoon at Delhi's Ghazipur landfill site is yet to be extinguished. It has been more than 20 hours since the fire that broke out in the garbage mountain in East Delhi but it has not been completely extinguished.

A fire brigade official said that two fire tenders are stationed at the spot and efforts are on to douse the fire. Chief Fire Officer Atul Garg said that the work of extinguishing the fire is still on and it may take some more time.

According to the fire department, at 2.30 pm on Monday, they received a call from Ghazipur that the garbage mountain had caught fire. After this the fire brigade vehicles reached there and since then the work of extinguishing the fire is going on. No casualty has been reported so far.
