Weather Update: In some states across the country, the condition of the people is miserable due to the severe cold. The outbreak of severe cold continues in the whole of North India. It is getting very cold in the plains. According to IMD, for the time being the weather pattern will remain like this and people have no hope of getting relief from it. There is bone-chilling cold in many areas including Delhi NCR, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar.

Along with the cold, mist and fog have also troubled people in North India. Due to mist and dense fog, visibility reaches zero in the morning at many places. Many trains are also getting affected due to this, which have to be canceled as well. With this, the traffic of common people is getting affected a lot. Due to this, the passengers are facing a lot of problems.

There will be zero mercury in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with snowfall in the mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the coming few days. Due to the continuous snowfall in the hilly areas for the past several days, the temperature has dropped below zero i.e. minus.

Due to the cold winds blowing on the mountains, winter has increased rapidly in the plains of North India. There are cold wave-like conditions in many places since the past. The cold is so much that people have imprisoned themselves in their homes. Temperature mercury is rapidly falling in many states including Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand. Due to this, the difficulties of the people are continuously increasing.

Chances of rain in these areas

According to the report of Skymet Weather, dense to very dense fog has covered parts of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. Cold wave condition is prevailing in some parts of Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan. There is a possibility that the weather will remain dry over almost the entire country. Rainfall would be seen only over Coastal Andhra Pradesh as well as parts of Coastal Tamil Nadu.
