Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Regarding the age limit, candidates belonging to the General and EWS categories must not exceed the maximum age of 35 years. However, the commission provides age relaxations as per government norms. Also, PwBD candidates may be granted an extra age relaxation of up to 10 years as per the prevailing rules.

The recruitment aims to fill 80 vacancies in total. The distribution of these posts across different categories is as follows: 29 seats are reserved for the General category, 18 for OBC, 15 for SC, and 8 for EWS candidates. Successful candidates who are finally selected for the APFC role will be placed under the Level-10 pay matrix as per the Central Government rules. This ensures a competitive salary along with various other allowances and benefits associated with a high-ranking central government position.

Selection Process and Examination Pattern

The selection of candidates for the Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner post will be conducted in two main stages: a written examination followed by an interview, while the written test will carry a total of 300 marks and will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates will be given a duration of 2 hours to complete the exam. It's important to note that there is a negative marking policy in place, where one-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be shortlisted for the interview stage, which carries 100 marks. The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in both the written test and the interview.

Application Fee Details

The application fee for male candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories is set at 25 Rupees. In a move to encourage wider participation, the commission has exempted female candidates, as well as candidates from the SC, ST, and PwBD categories, from paying any application fee.
