The cost of this project is estimated to be 40 trillion US dollars. This project will focus on those countries which have been badly affected by the Corona crisis.

Apart from this, through this Global Infrastructure Plan, it is also being said that large scale employment opportunities will be created at the local level. India says it is studying the project and may be involved. Talking to the media, Ministry of External Affairs official P. Harsh said, 'If you are asking questions about Build Back Better, then all I can say is that India will get its effect assessed through its agencies and after that it will also connect with it. can.' Criticism of China's Belt and Road project has also started from the countries that are part of it. It is being criticized for the ever increasing debt on the countries concerned and the lack of employment for the people at the local level.

India had refused to join this project of China, while countries like Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka are part of it. India had objected to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor being built under this project as it passes through a part of India's Jammu and Kashmir, which is illegally occupied by Pakistan. In the G-7 meeting held on Sunday, PM Modi had said that India is natural for the G-7 and its allies to protect democracy and freedom of thought from the challenges arising out of authoritarianism, terrorism, propaganda and economic coercion. is an ally. In his virtual address, PM Modi addressed two outreach sessions on climate change and open society at the G7 summit held at the British seaside resort Cornwall.
