Amidst the rapidly increasing cases of corona virus, the Kerala government has once again started taking strict measures. Strictness will be maintained on weekends in the state and complete lockdown will be imposed. This time a complete lockdown will be imposed on 31 July and 1 August.

It has been informed by the Kerala government that strictness will be kept in the state on Saturday and Sunday. Apart from this, the exemptions given will be applicable only from Monday to Friday. There will be complete lockdown in the state on weekends. However, during this time people related to the printing of books will be able to do work.

In Kerala, this decision has been taken when the cases of corona have started increasing rapidly in the last few days. Recently, on Eid, the state government had relaxed the rules, after which suddenly new cases have increased rapidly.

According to the Union Health Ministry, fifty percent of the new cases coming in the country are coming from Kerala. Now a team of 6 members is being sent by the Central Government to the state. Which will take stock of the situation in the state and work closely with the state government.

There are currently 3.97 lakh active cases of corona virus in the country, out of which about 1.49 lakh active cases are from Kerala only. There are many districts of Kerala where suddenly the number of new cases has doubled in the last few days.
