Special emphasis has been laid on coordination between the agencies of the Centre and the states so that there is no lapse during religious processions.Terrorist incidents become a cause of concernThe martyrdom of Major Mujeez Abbas Shah during an operation in South Waziristan recently has further increased the concern of the government. Regarding this incident, tribute was paid to him in the cabinet and the resolve to take strict action against terrorist activities was reiterated. Also, a special committee has been formed on the issue of gas production and supply, which will soon submit its report to the Supreme Court.Diplomatic talks with AmericaAmid security and internal matters, Prime Minister Sharif also had important talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. In this discussion, consensus was reached on various aspects of regional stability, trade partnership and diplomatic cooperation. Sharif praised the role of America in the Iran-Israel conflict and reiterated the demand for active US intervention in reducing India-Pakistan tension.
