In Noida's Sector 93A today, two buildings that touched the sky were found in the mud. All eyes were on the Twin Towers. With a loud bang, the towers higher than Qutub Minar turned into dust and debris in just a few seconds. But do you know why the twin tower built at a cost of billions is being demolished? When the Twin Towers exploded at 2.30 pm on Sunday, it echoed the victory of hundreds of flat buyers, who fought a legal battle for 10 years by donating and brought the skyscraper, which stood on the ground of corruption, to the ground. Supertech had spent Rs 200 crore to build the twin tower and was expected to earn Rs 800 crore.

Supertech was allotted a plot of land in Sector 93A in the name of Emerald Court on 23 December 2004, in which the map of 14 towers was passed. After this the plan was amended three times and two new towers were approved. Both these towers were built on the land of Green Park, Children's Park and two-storey commercial complex. Flat buyers raised their voice against it for the first time in March 2010 and the fight reached from Allahabad High Court to Supreme Court. Both courts were ordered to demolish the tower.

Supertech started the Emerald Court project about 15 years ago. It has 3,4 and 5 BHK flats. This society is close to Noida and Greater Noida Expressway. At present, the cost of a flat ranges from Rs 1 to 3 crores. Initially, according to the plan given by the builder to the Noida Authority, 14 9-storey towers were to be built. After that it was amended three times. In 2012, Supertech decided to build 15 towers instead of 14 and planned to increase from 9 to 14 storeys. A plan was also made to build two towers of 40 storeys.

Green area was promised, twin towers were built

The High Court and the Supreme Court found the builder guilty in this case and gave a verdict in favor of the flat buyers. The construction of the twin towers violated the rules of the National Building Code. When people bought flats in Supertech Emerald Court, they were promised a green area instead of twin towers. Looking at the facilities, the buyers booked flats in the Emerald Court project. But later the builder, in connivance with the Noida Authority officials, erected twin towers here. According to the rules, the distance between the towers should be 16 meters, but here only 9 meters were left. When the construction of Twin Towers started here, the buyers realized the deception and moved the court.
