The Womens T20 Challenge 2022 is called the Mini Women's IPL, but this year's season will be the last season of this tournament. So far, this Women's T20 Challenge has been organized three times, but in 2022, this tournament is being organized for the last time. The reason behind this is that on the lines of IPL, Women's IPL is to be organized from next year, in which 6 teams will participate.Women's cricket in India received some positive news earlier this year when the BCCI proposed to start a six-team women's IPL from 2023. This means the T20 Challenge, which started with an exhibition match in 2018 and later became a three-team tournament in 2019 and 2020, is gearing up for its final edition. The first match of this season will be played today i.e. on 23rd May.The 2022 Women's T20 Challenge will kick off between the Trailblazers captained by Smriti Mandhana and the Supernovas captained by Harmanpreet Kaur. This match will be played at MCA Stadium in Pune. This time also a total of four matches will be played like last time, in which there will be three league matches and one final match. The second match of the tournament will be between Supernovas and Velocity, while the last league match is to be held between Velocity and Trailblazers.
