The threat of war has increased after the US attack on Iran's nuclear bases. Yemen has announced to support Iran in the fight against Israel. Pakistan, Oman and Qatar have condemned the attack. Lebanon has refused to join the conflict.

Israel-Iran War: The threat of war in West Asia has deepened after the US attack on Iran's three major nuclear bases. This development has fueled the fear of the entire region being thrown into the fire of war once again. Especially when Yemen has officially announced its involvement in the conflict and has announced to stand with Iran against Israel.

Yemen's army warns of war

The Yemeni army has issued a statement on the social media platform 'X' saying, "Yemen will officially enter the war. Please keep your ships away from our waters." Yemen's Houthi rebels are already supporting Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel and in the past they have also carried out missile attacks on Israeli and allied ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

This new announcement has made it clear that Yemen will no longer be limited to only indirect support, but it is ready to enter the open war.

Lebanon distances itself, but tensions persist

While Yemen has openly spoken of joining the war, Lebanon has refused to enter this war. However, tensions between the Hezbollah organization active in Lebanon and Israel continue to persist, and there have been reports of sporadic attacks and retaliatory actions from there as well. But at the government level, Lebanon has this time exercised restraint and decided to maintain distance.

Pakistan, Oman and Qatar expressed strong objection

There is widespread outrage in the Islamic world over the US attack on Iran. Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack, calling it a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Pakistan said in clear words, "This attack is against the spirit of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and global peace."

Similarly, Oman and Qatar have also described the US action as unnecessary and provocative. Both countries have appealed to maintain regional stability and emphasized on a diplomatic solution.

Conflict takes a new turn

The long-standing instability in West Asia has now taken another dangerous turn. The US attack has not only made Iran more aggressive, but now with the active participation of countries like Yemen, this conflict can take a more terrible form. It will be important to see in the coming days whether the region moves towards a major war or international diplomacy is once again successful in stopping it.
