The ministry said that 560 people infected with Omicron have either recovered or have left the country. Most of the cases of Omicron have been reported in Maharashtra (Omicron Variant in Maharashtra) and Delhi (Omicron Variant in Delhi). At the same time, 27,553 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Children will get the vaccine from January 3

Vaccine registration on the CoWIN portal has started from January 1 for children in the age group of 15 to 18 years. The only vaccine option for them will be Covaxin, which will be administered from January 3.

552 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Haryana

On Saturday, 552 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Haryana, taking the total number of infected people to 7,74,340. This information has been given in a bulletin of the Health Department. According to the bulletin, out of the new cases, 298 have been reported from Gurugram only. 107 new patients were detected in Faridabad, 32 in Ambala and 26 in Panchkula. No new cases of Omicron were reported in Haryana and no new cases of death due to infection were reported.

Center told states to increase health facilities

In view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19, the central government has warned that the pressure on health infrastructure may increase in the coming days. In such a situation, the Center has advised the states to increase the number of makeshift hospitals with health facilities. The Health Ministry has also suggested states to constitute special teams to monitor patients in home isolation.
