Accident / 4 of same family returning home on Holi killed in car-truck collision

Accident: Four people belonging to the same family were killed in a face-to-face collision with a truck carrying a Mirchi-laden truck on Friday night at Dumariaghat Mahasetu of Mohammadpur police station in Gopalganj district of Bihar. The deceased include a husband-wife and a daughter and son.

In connection with the incident, it was told that a family was going from Delhi to Saharsa in a Dumriaghat Mahasetu. Meanwhile, the unruly truck coming from the front stumbled into the car. Two people died in the accident at the scene. While two people died while being taken to the hospital. After seizing both the vehicles, the police have taken the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased were identified as Sanjeev Jha, his wife Nimi Jha, daughter Aastha Kumari and son Raj Kumar. He was a resident of Bangaon in Saharsa district.

Mahmudpur Police Station Mithilesh Kumar Pandey said that the crashed truck and car have been seized. The deceased are residents of Bangaon in Saharsa. Information has been given to their family members. His family has left Saharsa for Gopalganj.
